My Family Coloring Books

Last week, I talked about Picnik and it's neat-o FREE photo editing features.  I want to show you one of their features I used to make a memory book for my princesses.

Seeing how there's a {lil' ole'} Sea between us and our loved ones, I like to display pictures and talk about our family so our girls still feel close to them.    This project was simple and turned out super fun.
Seriously...how cool is it to color a picture of Grandma
 in her wedding dress?
The princesses kept saying, "Papa looks so handsome."

Want to know how to do it?
Ok, calm down!!!   Here's the skinny on making your own Family Coloring Book!

1. Upload your picture on Picnik
2. Click on the CREATE tab
3. Then Click EFFECTS
4. Scroll down to PENCIL SKETCH
5. I play with the RADIUS and STRENGTH till the picture is to my liking then APPLY
6. To apply TEXT click on the....TEXT tab!
7. I prefer the ACTION JACKSON 'cause it makes the letters hollow and you (I mean the kiddos) can color them in!
8. Click SAVE AND SHARE and then click PRINT PHOTO
9. Scroll down and it gives the option of printing from your own printer.

There ya have it....easy cheesy!
We put these in a 3-ring blinder, in those clear plastic sheet thingies.  We plan to keep adding them.

Hopefully we'll have some pictures of some new babies soon.  2 sisters and 1 sis-in-law are expecting little ones soon!  I love babies!!!!

  2. That is a great idea for helping MK's remember their families. More hands on than just a photo album.
