Cadbury Creme Fudge Recipe

Prince had a birthday this week.  The "now I'm over the hill one".  The Big 30!
I made a cake and I wanted to make something extra yummy.
Last year, around Easter time, I made some Kinda Cadbury Creme Eggs.
They were a big hit with my husband and girls and I've made 2 or 3 (or 7 or 8) batches since then.

I tried a different spin on it this year.
With the heat here mine were getting sticky when I was dipping them in the chocolate.
I was having to put them back in the freezer
every few minutes to firm them up and it was taking For-e-ver.
So I did some eggs then I decided to put them in a little pan...and created Cadbury Creme Fudge!
So much easier.

My Kinda-Cadbury-Creme-Eggs or Cadbury Creme Fudge
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup butter (room temp)
3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 t. salt (optional...I didn't add this)
12 ounces chocolate chips

1. Mix together corn syrup and butter
2.  Mix in powdered sugar
3. Separate 1/3 into another bowl and dye smaller portion yellow with food coloring
5. To make fudge...Put wax paper in a small cake pan and sprayed a little cooking spray
6. Press the white and yellow goodness in the bottom of the pan
7. Pour melted chocolate chips over the top and keep in the fridge
8. Eat when the chocolate firms up...or with a spoon right now...(I won't tell)

I'd seriously forgotten how lick-your-fingers yummy these are! {slurp}

  1. Wow, this has me drooling. It seems like every year that I tighten up on my diet (usually, that means cutting out sugar), it's right around Easter time. Cadbury eggs and black jelly beans are two of my favorite candies. If I wasn't trying so hard, you can be sure I'd be making a pan of this.

  9. Yummy, I could totally go for a batch of those, as I try to limit myself to one egg a season. But this? It's homemade :) Doesn't count!

  13. Maria, you are brilliant! I tried making the eggs last year, and it was so hot that they melted into giant puddles, even when taking then in and out of the freezer :) Such is living in the tropics!
May I share this over on the BMW blog? I'll give you full credit! Thanks!

  22. Wow! I kind of thought the recipe would call for emptying the contents of 75 Cadbury Cream Eggs into a bowl, and going from there. (hee hee)

Anyway, these look like a fine shot in the arm of sweet delicousness.

Thanks for partying with me at Drab to Fab. Here's the link to this weeks, party! Come on back to share more of your lovely ideas.

  24. I could honestly eat a Cadbury Creme Egg every day for the rest of my life. If this pans out the way I'm hoping it will, I can blame this post for every ounce of fat I gain from this day forward - but I'm ok with that for Cadbury Creme Egg fudge! Thank you for being a culinary genius <3
