Princess Alexis and I were sitting out on the veranda

 finishing up the final review pages in her 1st Grade math book.

Suddenly we had a little curious creature jump out of a flower pot and onto the math book.

Some little girls would have shrieked and jumped back.

Alexis giggled and started talking to him like he was very welcome to join her.
