This is a picture of my mom and my little brother, Levi.
What kind of mom am I? The kinda mom who eats cookie dough. That's the kind I am.
The girls have used the phrase "when I'm a mom" a lot lately. They notice so much that I do and copy everything...I mean everything! Scary isn't it. My phrases, my looks, my moods, the way I react, even the way I walk. It's easy to tell their little upturned faces how to act and behave...but it's harder to be that living example.
I don't think I'm a conventional mom. If I really know what conventional means?.?
I'm the mom who eats cookie-dough. I know... I've heard it's bad for you...sick chickens and all, but it is so good! And you gotta live life on the edge every once in awhile. Take a risk...you'll like it.
I'm the mom who walks through mud puddles barefoot.
I'm the mom who overlooks bedtime..occasionally...to read more storybooks.
I'm the mom who serves cookies and milk for breakfast. In all honesty, it's just as healthy as some cereals.
I'm the mom who has pillow fights.
I'm the mom who has water fights.
I'm the mom who tells knock-knock jokes.
i'm the mom who jumps on hotel beds...but it's been awhile.
I'm the mom who colors with crayons.
i'm the mom who puts kool-aid in china teacups.
I'm the mom who goes "out' with a pedicure done by a 4 year old.
I'm the mom who adds extra bubbles to the bathtub.
i'm the mom who doesn't worry about splashes in the tub...I just lay an extra towel on the floor.
I'm the mom who can watch hours of the old Bugs Bunny cartoons.
I'm the mom who gives big squeezie hugs and says "I love you" a lot.
To tell the truth, I got it honestly. I have many, many memories of my mom who loves to do the unusual. Once she drove us home from the grocery store with a box on her head...I wonder how she saw to drive? She loved to do things that embarrassed me then..but deep down I thought were hilarious.
My sis-in-law, Heather, sent me the quote. "With children...the days are long but the years are short." My princesses are growing up quickly.
I wonder what kind of mom they'll be?
p.s. Knock Knock ... Who's there?...Banana
Knock Knock ... Who's there?...Banana

Thank you so much Maria! You inspire me to be a better mother!
It's so easy for me to get busy just staying caught up with the cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc... that I forget to take the time to enjoy the little things. This reminded me to just let those things go sometimes and spend quality time with my girls. Thank you!
Sweet blog, sweet girls, sweet momma... Keep up the great work!
