The Cutest Project Yet {Definitely do with what you Got}

I am sooo excited about sharing this! As I was journeying through the various worlds of blogs and hoping to be inspired...I stumbled on this idea! Best trip I ever made. {recently at least}

My ever expanding belly is outgrowing my skirts and my maternity clothes won’t be here any time soon. I’m doing the best with what I can find. I have 2 cotton sundresses, that are so comfy and roomy. I don’t wear them to town though, because of the skinny straps. I was inspired yesterday to take an ordinary t-shirt from my closet and make a cute little cropped jacket. That way, all I had to do was to slip on the top whenever I want to ride in the a/c with Prince Charming.

I started with an old forgotten t-shirt. With my wonderful sharp sewing scissors I cut it straight down the front, then I slipped it on and cropped it.

I used the bottom fabric to cut in strips. Then I sewed the ends together and made ruffles. I tacked the ruffles around the edges of the t.

After sewing the ruffles in place, I made two fabric flowers to class it up a little. I found a antique looking brass button (where it came from? Your guess is as good as mine!) The button added the perfect touch in the center of the flower.

Since it’s all cotton, you can just throw it in the wash

...so simple!

So easy, if you don’t mind sewing knit material! It was worth it! And the Prince was so impressed. I love doing that!

Huh! I never would have thought you made that from an old t-shirt! How cool! Bet you'll get lots of use out of that! The teen girls around here would LOVE learning how to do that!
