"mom, I always eat the frosting on the cake first

...so I don't have to share that."

"mom,  I just killed a mosquito.  I knocked his little tail feathers off!"

 {giggles}

"mom, can you put some mosquito spray on me?  

can we buy cocklebur spray?"

"mom, are you going to put beer, on the sore, on my foot?"  

{mom gives her a surprised, confused look} 

suddenly it dawns on mom she means "alcohol".....rubbing alcohol that is!
