Drago went to the vet for his 3 set of shots and deworming medicine today. It was quite the experience. Many have told us that they don't want to ever be taken to a Jamaican hospital.....well imagine the veterinary clinic. There were dogs of all sizes there. There were a couple grown German Shepherds, Rottwielers, Shitzus, and 1 or 2 mongrels. When we finally got in to see the doc he picked up a thermometer to take Drago's temperature. I'm not going to tell you how he took it, but Moriah and Alexis's eyes got really big!!!! Then he wiped it off with a paper towel and placed it back on the counter for the next "patient". Hummmm....Josh whispered, "remind me to bring an alcohol swab next time."
Drago did fine, but I almost had a heart attack when I looked over and Eden had a q-tip hanging out of her mouth as she sucked on it!!!! I quickly pulled it out of my 2 year olds mouth and threw it on the (not so clean) floor. She sincerely didn't understand the big deal and pulled another one out of her pocket. I was somewhat relieved to find that ...for some reason....she had filled her dress pocket up with them and brought them from home. Can you lose calories by just getting your heart rate up? (smile)

Mariah, I can just about imagine how you felt when you saw that q-tip in her mouth! Glad it came from home :)
I had a good chuckle while reading this one. I could just see Moriah and Allie's eyes when he took his temp. And Eden, glad that q-tip came from home, but still, where do they get the idea that sucking on a q-tip would be enjoyable? Kids... they come up with the craziest of things!
Third world countries can be especially stressful on Moms. You do eventually relax some, but never totally. Here's a snippit between my cherub and I at our church in Chihuahua. "Here Son, have a drink from my water bottle." "No thanks Mom, I already got a - -" "DON'T tell me! I don't even want to know!"
