watercolor paints recipe

So Easy Long Lasting Watercolors
3 Tablespoons Baking Soda
3 Tablespoons Corn Starch
3 Tablespoons Vinegar
1 1/2 Tablespoon Light Corn Syrup

 1. We mixed the ingredients but added the vinegar last so it would bubble and fizz.   That was super cool.
 2. Divide the mixture up.  Egg cartons work marvelously!
3. Add food coloring to each one and stir well.
4. The hardest part is letting it dry.  When we found this recipe it said "2 days".  Well apparently that doesn't apply when you live on a tropical island.  I ended up having to sit it by the stove and it still took about 5 days.  Hopefully it dries faster for you!

This worked so well.  We've used it several times and I just let it dry when the girls finish playing and we store it for next time.

I used the recipe from the  Pocket Full Of Posies Blog
