Take the Time to Tuesday Challenge is .....
tell your child "no".
It's hard. Especially when they are tiny, cute, squishy and everything they do is just adorable! The truth is, the sooner those little bundles of sweetness realize that they have boundaries and that mommy and daddy are in charge the better. We've all seen (or heard) the child screaming for the candy at the register and the red-faced parents trying to act like they don't hear anything.
My mom had a cute, bright yellow stuffed duck. She used to have it balanced on the back of her couch, when my brothers were small. It was the "no-no" duck. He was so eye-catching and tempting. Would it actually hurt if those little fingers touched it? No, but he was off limits and a quick lesson in "no" was taught by a mommy of twin boys.
Some of the super snazzy features from last week!
Hoo Loves You? from the 7 Year Cottage Blog
No Heat Headband from Its Just Laine Blog
Valentine Bear from Titus 2 Work in Progress Blog
1. Links must be very kid friendly (example: things that Grandma would approve of {smile}) Really, if it's something that you can do with a child or your family then it would be just peachy...share it with us. A craft, a recipe, a post about a day spent with your kids...you get the picture?
2. Pretty please be a follower of Raising4Princesses and if you use the button to link back I'd be just tickled pink. You can also find us on Facebook
3. Here's the rule you're seeing everywhere.....{5th grade teacher voice} "visit other links and tell them how "marvelous they are!"
