T' Time {#82} Link Party

umm....well either the power company is working on something or they're just being "third world" because they're randomly shutting off our power the last several days....for hours and hours.  It just came on and I'm enjoying a fan and a quick internet rush.    Forgive me but this is gonna have to be this weeks Party!

T' Time {#81}...and Link Party

Take the time to Challenge #81 is a guest post from my best friend from college, Tinyla!
She's been here before and I love sharing her thoughts and ideas with you.
Tinyla has two little princesses that I hope to someday meet {and squeeze}.

Now, doesn't this face just say, "Hold me, Auntie Maria?"

Here's Tinyla's T' Time Challenge...
     "Listen to them at play!

I have learned SO much from listening to my girls play. I have learned a lot about them as well as myself. Listening to what they cook, how they cook, and how they (mainly Aaliyah) talk to each other, and how and why they punish their babies has helped me to know how to better train them to be the best they can be. I have learned how to speak to them so they can understand me better. I have learned how to better pray for them. I have also had some great moments of just flat out fun! Face it, when you have little children; your life is blessed with little comedians!"
-Tinyla from My Life At Home Blog

Let Me Say, Ladies.....
You outdid yourselves this week.
I had so much fun looking through the ideas.

T' Time {#80} and Link Party

Take the Time to Challenge #80 is....
            listen to their imaginations.
I was laying in bed with my little Eden (4).  She has the bottom bunk.  When I looked up there was an old piece of jagged twine drooping down above her pillow.
I said, "I'll cut that off."
She said, "No, mommy, it's special to me."
When I asked why she said, "I pull it and make my choo-choo train whistle and go faster."
She doesn't know where the string came from or who put it there, but it's SPECIAL.

Who thinks that the bottom bunk could turn into a train?  Eden and Mommy!

T' Time {#78} and Link Party

Take the Time to Challenge #78 is....
Teach them to use a hammer!
The other day we were all outside and Prince gave the girls some nails and hammers.  I was thinking I needed to go find some bandaids!  Daddy got an old board and patiently taught his daughters how to hammer in the nails than to pull out the nails and do it all again.  They had so much fun and it occupied them for at least an hour.

T' Time #77 and Link Party

Take the Time to Challenge #77 is...
Listen to their stories about their day.

It's just as important to learn about their day when they're 5, 15, or 25.  If you show them you care and are interested when they're small it will come naturally for them to talk to you about their joys and sorrows when they're big.  Take the time to Just Listen!

T' Time {#76} and Link Party

Take the Time to Challenge #76 is....
gaze at the moon and stars.
The moon has been amazingly bright and huge looking the last few nights.  So bright that my Prince thought that the security light was on!

Gather up your kiddos and grab and old quilt.  What a great way to end your day...laying on the grass under a blanket of stars.  Leave the blanket outside while you tuck in the kids and drag your sweetie out for a little romance by the light of the silvery moon.  {sigh}

T' Time {#75} and Link Party

Take the Time to Challenge #75 is....
Let your kids form a relationship
              with other generations!
We have some really special neighbors.  We live on a quiet street and most of those around us are Jamaicans who have retired home after working in England and America.

This lady's home is right beside ours and she has adopted my children because they are the same age as her own grandchildren in the States.  My girls love to run over and spend a few minutes with her each day.  They draw pictures for her and sing for her and help her with {little girl} chores around her home... like watering the flowers.  She takes the time to talk with them and teach them things, like Chinese Checkers.

They've created a special bond that my girl's will always remember.

Take a few moments this week and let your little ones make some new friends!
