Tonight I was washing Alexis in the warm bath water that I had carried to their bathroom, and I must have had an exhausted look on my face. Alexis said, “It’s hard being a mom. It’s not hard being a little kid. I like being a little kid, except when I get spankin’s. I don’t like spankin’s.
