Today has been exhausting.
I didn't accomplish anything drastic in the grand scheme of things.
Today has been a day full of "mommy...... yada...yada...yada...!"
Finally at 8ish, I slipped out onto the veranda
to eat a quick piece of toast and sip a cup of hot chocolate.
I wanted to relish the chirp of the crickets
and the moon beams shining across the yard
...and hide from the children.
Just me......and the 50 million mosquitos.
I didn't even have time to get comfortable when
the baby started crying in her chair.
One soggy princess began yelling from her cold bathwater.
Two more princesses were alternating
between giggles and arguments
while their cookie crumbs fell on my mopped floor.
Just a minute or two of silence. Is that to much to ask?
Oh, bedtime, where art thou?
(Eden with her baby Bitty Esther.
I {heart} that she carries her around on her hip...just like mommy!)
No silence.
But, I guess that's ok.
My baby girls are growing to fast.
I'll have a date with the crickets after bedtime.

Ha! Many days I long for 8:30 p.m., Seth's bedtime, and I only have one! Peace and quiet is luxurious!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwe!!! What a sweet day. I love how one of your daughters is learning to be a little Mommy by watching HER Mommy be a good one. They pick up so much on what we do. My youngest (4 yrs) is so into books and playing on the DS that she doesn't much have a love for babies like I did as a child. The oldest is 16 and could care less. The middle two are 8 and 10 and they OCCASIONALLY play with their dolls but get bored quickly with them even tho I will play too and be the Grandma. This time is so precious!!! I still love certain dolls and enjoy collecting them, mostly all different. What beautiful girls you have - I think I say that every time but they are!
Blessings!!! Cass
