Holding Mama's Skirt

What happens when your mommy is 5 foot 9
and your photographer is 5 years old?
It's hard to get 'er all in!

This last picture caught my eye because it captures the true beauty of motherhood.
No...I'm not talking about me! {blush}  I'm talking about that tiny little hand holding on to the back of my skirt.  Such a very common occurrence that I didn't even notice it at the time.

How I wish, sometimes, that I could just reach out and hold on to my mom's skirt.  Makes the world seem like such a better {and more safer} place.

Sweet babies.  I love motherhood.

These pictures are so sweet! I remember when our four girls were little, they would all four be pulling on my skirt like that at church as I was talking to people. I remember how sometimes I couldn't concentrate on what the person was saying because my girls were pulling from all directions! Now I wish I could go back and relive those days. My it goes by so fast. Love your blog! Gail

Such sweet pictures. Your daughter does a good job at getting clear pictures. I'm impressed. I did not even notice the little one holding your skirt at first! So cute.

Maria, I just love you and miss you bunches. My favorite picture is the second one. It's like you're saying you can hardly take in all of that sweet baby.

Maria,

I have been reading your blog for a while and enjoy hearing about your ministry and life on the mission field. Our church is one of your supporting churches. Your post about the reality on the mission field and the struggles you all face was eye opening. My husband and I went on a cruise recently and one of our stops was Falmouth, Jamaica. We spent the day walking through Falmouth as well as taking a bus to Montego Bay. Both our eyes and hearts were opened to the people and the poverty that is there. We both pray in a new way for you and your family and Spot Valley.

Hi, I have been a reader of your blog for a while. Not sure if I have left a comment before. My name is Jessi also, I see another Jessi comments here, didn't want to confuse you. I just wanted to tell you I love your blog! Your a lovely lady and have the sweetest family. I will be praying for your family and your ministry there in Jamaica. I live in Iowa, so not far from where you were when you were back in the states.
Keep serving him!
God bless
~Jessi
