Close your eyes!
Have you ever noticed how your hearing and sense of perception is so much more clearer when you you close your eyes? Many times when it's raining or the chattering of birds is a nearby fruit tree catch my attention I have my girls close their eyes and focus on truly listening to the sounds. So take a minute (or a few seconds) and have your kids close their eyes and tell you what they hear. Simple.
Now on to the party.
