By the time 5 o’clock comes around the last thing on our minds is what does my hair look like? What does my face look like? What is on my shirt… oh, there is that smell! So about 10 or so minutes before he gets home, put on a clean shirt. Not a fancy one, just clean. Squirt yourself with some of that perfume that he got you for Christmas that he thought you liked. "Fluff" your hair.
If he gets home before you, put on fresh lipstick before you get out of the car.
Even though sometimes he will NEVER say anything about what you just did, he does notice!
Remember how we use to take hours to makeup ourselves before we were married? Never lose that desire to look good for him. Even while you are sitting at home across the dining room table eating leftovers. "

Love it. Love the subtle underlying humor. Both of you - Rachel and Maria - share that same refreshing humor. And you are so right, Rachel. It does matter. I forget that too often.
They definitely notice..even when we don't think they do. :o)
